Alex & Amy - Fort Wayne, IN

RPImagery-7024.jpg

A classic young love romance story based in the midwest. Alex and Amy were only teenagers when they fell in love. At 16 years old, Alex walked up to Amy’s house and knocked on her front door to take her on their first date. He met Amy, her parents, and her grandparents all at the same time! After their first date out to the movies, the rest was history. Out of the 8 years that these two have dated, I find it fascinating that 6 out of 8 of those years they spent living a plane ride away from each other, following their own dreams, while still being committed to each other. Evidently all of it was worth it because it let them here - to their wedding day.

What an honor it was for me to capture this special day in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I adore their friends and families so much and had a blast capturing all of the cute couples, candid laughs, and sweet parent-child moments throughout the day. Alex and Amy wed at Good Shepherd United Methodist church and celebrated afterwards at the Sycamore Hills Golf Club. Greg Getty from The Urban Petal, a floral mastermind, filled the room with elegant floral pieces and strung stunning greenery from the chandeliers to create a real life fairytale. It was truly a beautiful and joyous day.

Alex and Amy exude an infectious type of joy together, and their smiles both light up a room. They are just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside and together, they are a match made in heaven.

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Hammond!

Conner & Anna - Lincoln, NE

Anna is a midwest American sweetheart from Nebraska and Conner is a PNW raised family man from Oregon. Their meeting and falling in love was quite serendipitous. Conner is a professional golfer and Anna was working the bar cart at a golf course when the two of them stumbled upon each other at Hole 5 of Highlands Golf Course in Lincoln, Nebraska. Truly fitting!

The weird thing is that Conner is from my neck of the woods, and I didn’t even know him. I met Anna in Colorado while we were both volunteering for a nonprofit that serves communities in Honduras. Upon meeting, she’s like “Oh, I’ve been to Oregon! My boyfriend and his family are from there.” Small world. Fast forward a few years later and I was shooting their engagement session in Oregon and then I was fortunate enough to capture their wedding day in Nebraska nearly a year after that. I adore these two. They have a strong bond, fierce loyalty, and a Christ-centered relationship (now marriage) that is so beautiful.

Anna and Conner were wedded in their home church, by their Pastor and dear friend. It was a beautiful ceremony, followed by a joyous celebration. I say this over and over, but I am so lucky to have clients whose families’ make ME feel like family and this wedding was absolutely no exception.

Anna and Conner, thank you for choosing me to be a part of your wedding day. It’s an honor to capture such an important piece of your love story, and even more of an honor to call you two friends! So happy for you guys and can’t wait to see you again.

Adam & Hannah - Clearwater, FL

RPImagery-1476.jpg

I met Hannah and Adam on a Norwegian Cruise to the Bahamas in 2019. I was thrilled when they asked me to join them in Florida and capture their wedding day this February!

Their wedding took place at the Sandpearl Resort in Clearwater, Florida. We began the morning with the girls sipping champagne and getting ready in an upper hotel room overlooking the ocean while the guys relaxed poolside. I ADORED all of Hannah and Adam’s friends in their bridal party, they are all so kind, laid back, and so funny. I had a great time getting to know all of them!

Their first look was the sweetest. I love how Adam looks at Hannah like she is the best thing that has ever happened to him. They make the cutest couple! They shared their vows together in an intimate moment between just the two of them and then they said their “I do’s” down on the beach, amongst their family and friends.

These people know how to party. The celebration went well into the night and was filled with drinks, dancing, sunset smooching, booty shaking, limbo, jokes, cigars, laughter, and love. It was a night to remember.

Hannah and Adam, you guys are so loved. I loved meeting all of your friends and family and seeing just how special you two are to everyone around you. It’s no wonder we met on that cruise 2 years ago, you both are so outgoing, adventurous, kind, compassionate, and loving, and I’m fortunate to call you friends. Here’s to you Mr. and Mrs. DeSantis!

Will & Cydney - Hood River, OR

THEY ARE GOOFY, KIND, COMPASSIONATE, STRONG, LOYAL, FAITHFUL BEAUTIFUL, AND FULL OF JOY.
THEY LOVE JESUS.

THEY REFLECT EACH OTHER’S BRIGHT LIGHT.

THEIR LOVE GLORIFIES GOD IN A WAY THAT INSPIRES US ALL.

This whole wedding weekend had me emotional. From their baptism together, to sweet words said at their rehearsal dinner, to God’s fingerprints all over their wedding day…. it was a weekend to remember, and I was so honored to be a part of it all. I’ve been able to witness their journey first-hand for so many years, so it was extra special to be able to capture their wedding day. Rather than trying to explain how beautiful this couple is not only on the outside, but also on the inside, I suggest just clicking PLAY on the video and seeing for yourself. Cue laughter, tears, and all the feels.

I thought it was so powerful that they chose to get baptized together the day before their wedding. Cydney’s brother, Andrew, baptized them as their family watched. Here are a couple snapshots I grabbed while filming this special morning:

And a few photos from their rehearsal evening, just because:

Disclaimer: I was NOT their photographer, but just grabbed a few of those photos while I was filming their wedding weekend. Vanessa Gray did a spectacular job photographing their wedding day: SEE HERE

Paul & Maggie - Cannon Beach, OR

RPImagery-0625.jpg

Paul and Maggie hosted a beautiful wedding weekend in Cannon Beach, OR in October with their close friends and family. These two have been together for so many years, have traveled several countries together, and have already done so much life together, that this formality of a marriage ceremony was wildly overdue and finally happening! And no batter place than the Oregon Coast to make that happen.

While we rehearsed the ceremony on the beach, the evening before, in the wind and rain, the clouds opened up the next day and it was a beautiful, blue sky, Oregon Coast day for their wedding! The boys started off by spending the morning down on the beach, playing games, grilling, and drinking beer, while the ladies were up in the cabin sipping mimosas. It was a very relaxing morning.

Jaws were in the sand as Maggie walked through the beach grass towards Paul at the ceremony. They had a simply beautiful setup for their ceremony, and they said beautiful vows to each other as onlookers walked by on the beach. Afterwards, we danced, toasted, and celebrated Paul and Maggie at the McMenamins Gearhart hotel. It was such a lovely evening!

Paul and Maggie, thank you for including me in such a special weekend. All of the events of the entire weekend were so memorable, and I was honored to be a part of it all. The amount of joy that you two exude as a couple is contagious, and you love each other and others so well. I admire your love and am grateful that I had the opportunity to capture this chapter of your story. xox

Kevin & Caitlin - Dundee, OR

It’s difficult for me to put into words how special this wedding was. As Kevin’s stepfather said, plans were made and unmade, changed, canceled, and made again for this wedding. However, as Caitlin’s grandmother so eloquently stated, “God is looking down on this, Caitlin’s mom is looking down on this, and it is the right time and the right place.” Truly, I have never witnessed the extent of intimacy at a wedding that encompassed this whole day.

As many 2020 engaged couples experienced, the ability to safely hold a wedding at a regular venue became impossible. So, Caitlin and Kevin were able to rent out an airbnb (graciously by the hosts!), in the middle of a vineyard in the Dundee Hills, and they wed amongst their close family. Literally just parents, siblings, and grandma :)

I have so much admiration for these two. Caitlin is this fierce warrior disguised in this “tiny little package”, and she embodies so much strength, resistance, grace, and humility. Kevin is this gentle giant who is incredibly kind, sincere, well spoken, intentional, and hardworking. Together, these two are unstoppable.

I think their story is beautiful. Kevin came into Caitlin’s life shortly after the loss of her mother, who was her best friend. You’ll have to watch the video to hear more of their story, because honestly (it’s so beautiful!! but) it’s not my story to tell. I did try to “tell their story” in this film by highlighting several of the moments to tribute Caitlin’s mom, Deb. Never have I ever felt such a presence by somebody I didn’t even know, but Deb was there that day in so many ways. Steve, Stevie, and Caitlin, I’m so sorry for your loss. Deb truly left a beautiful legacy that so vividly lives on, and as Kevin’s mom said… Caitlin, “her love lives on through YOU.”

Imagine instead of standing up in front of a 100+ people at a wedding reception in a barn, giving a toast, you are instead: at a beautiful candlelit table, up in the hills, overlooking the twinkling lights of the city, drinking fine wine with just a special group of 10 or so people, and then giving that toast, saying the words you wrote, but looking that person dead in the eye as you say it. I don't know how else to describe it, I think you had to be there, but it gives me chills thinking about it. There’s something about speaking words from the heart, with an intimate group, that is so special. Honestly, if I ever get married, I’m doing it Caitlin & Kevin style, pandemic or not!

I could go on and on about this special day but at this point, I’ll let the film speak for itself.

Caitlin and Kevin, I see and capture a lot of weddings, but your wedding moved me in a way like no other. I know it wasn’t the day you originally imagined, but I honestly think it was better. Thank you for including me in (and choosing me to capture!) such a special, special day. I adore you guys!

CJ & Brooklyn - Puyallup, WA

RPImagery-4853.jpg

When I think of fairytale romance, meant to be, written in the stars, sweep-you-off-your-feet kind of love story, I think of CJ and Brooklyn. The love they have for each other is so special!
I had so much fun getting to know these two at their engagement shoot (view here), where I learned that CJ sneaks out of the back door of their house so he can knock on the front door, often with flowers in his hand, to ask Brooklyn out on a date, for their date nights. CJ is a hopeless romantic, and he looks at Brooklyn the way every girl dreams of being looked at. When they’re not out on date night, they are dancing in the kitchen, and loving on their sweet little boy, Cameron. I adore their sweet family!

They got married at Rock Creek Gardens in Puyallup, WA surrounded by their closest friends and family. It was definitely a family centered celebration and I love the closeness that both of their families share! The toasts were both tear-jerkers and full comedy shows, the food was amazing, and the night ended with everyone dancing under twinkle lights on a perfect summer night. My favorite part of the day though was sneaking CJ & Brooklyn away from the party and sending them out on a row boat. It was a perfect moment for them, being away from all of the music, laughter, and festivities to just soak up the fact that they are finally married! It was a joy for me to be a part of this day. Thank you CJ & Brooklyn for choosing me to be a part of it all. The love you two share has put a forever stamp on my perspective of true love.

Dylan & Brianne - Stevenson, WA

RPImagery-0917.jpg

Dylan and Brianne got married at one of my favorite places in the Pacific Northwest, Skamania Lodge! It’s on the Washington side of the Columbia River, right near the famous Bridge of the Gods, and sits up on a hill providing gorgeous views of the Columbia Gorge.

The morning of their wedding day was so relaxing. Brianne and her bridesmaids sipped mimosas and laughed about memories as they got ready for the big day. One of my favorite moments of the day was when Brianne’s bridesmaids gifted her a personalized booked of photos, memories, and sweet words for the bride. Their entire bridal party was filled with the sweetest of friends, who made their entire day so much fun and so meaningful to both Brianne and Dylan.

Their ceremony was sweet, and their reception was a blast! Not a dry eye during their vows at the ceremony, during the toasts, and during the father/daughter and mother/son dances as well. I loved how the dance floor was placed right where they had said their vows earlier in the day, and everyone danced the night away under the string lights and under the Columbia gorge sky filled with stars.

Brianne and Dylan, thank you so much for choosing me to document this special day for you guys. I loved having the honor of capturing each moment throughout the day, and had so much fun while doing it! Thank you to you guys, your bridal party, and your families for making ME feel like family!

Michael & Tenielle - Camas, WA

Michael and Tenielle had one of the most touching, Christ-centered ceremonies and wedding days that I’ve ever been a part of. Their whole wedding day was a true testament to what God designed for the institute of marriage. It was important to Michael and Tenielle to use their wedding to glorify God and spread the love of Jesus to others, and that is exactly what they did.

“Our lives should be radically transformed if we understand God’s great love for us. The highest purpose of your marriage is not primarily for you, it’s to glorify God and demonstrate how great He is.” I loved how Todd really focused on the book of Ephesians during the ceremony, pointing out both how much God loves us and how also, in turn, that should effect our daily lives. How a Christian life is a fundamentally changed life. In Ephesians, Paul also talks about how a husband should love his wife much like Christ loved the church, while the wife must respect and honor her husband. I was also inspired by how much Todd talked about grace. That even though you love your spouse and love so many things about them, they still have weaknesses and flaws, and there will be times in their life that they sin, but that’s when they need your love and your grace the most. This is such a hard thing!! But such a wonderful reminder. Anyone single, dating, or married should truly watch their full ceremony film for a good message on marriage, and what we should all be praying for, looking for, and striving to be in our own relationships. Click here for their FULL CEREMONY.

During the ceremony, Todd described Michael and Tenielle as individuals, and then went on to say:

“You both prayed. And that set the stage for God to work and do something to bring your two paths and merge them into one. God has had the individual paths of your life merging together to become one.”

Knowing Tenielle since grade school, and hearing so many stories of Michael growing up, I know how passionate these two were about pursuing Jesus in their own lives. They certainly were on their own individual paths chasing goals, dreaming big, spreading kindness, and pursuing Jesus. Because of this, God gifted them with each other. AND WHAT A GIFT. To see how much light Tenielle brings to this world and how compassionate of a heart Michael has for others, they are unstoppable together. I can’t even imagine how much glory they will be bringing to God’s kingdom as a team!

Yes, God gifted them with each other.

But, their marriage is also God’s gift to us.

Michael and Tenielle, your love truly encompasses the fruits of the spirit.

“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” Galatians 5:22-23

Your life together is going to be a great testimony of what God intended for marriage. You have already impacted, inspired, and changed the lives of so many. You have set the bar high for intentional pursuit, and have been a beautiful example of what giving and receiving grace looks like. You inspire me and I am honored to be your friend. CAN’T WAIT TO WATCH YOU MOVE MOUNTAINS TOGETHER! I love you, Mr. and Mrs. Monda!

Zach & Lauren - Fort Wayne, IN

RPImagery-0601.jpg

I met Lauren a few years ago on a mission trip in Honduras. I had no idea while riding on the back of a truck with her through the remote villages of Honduras… that one day I would get to photograph her wedding!

This career is such a trip. It connects me with the most wonderful people in the most unique ways! I feel so blessed every day to get to capture the most special day of people’s lives. It really is an honor.

Lauren and Zach’s wedding was my first Fort Wayne, Indiana wedding. I was so excited to finally have one! The venue was insanely beautiful, on the top floor of the PNC building, the tallest building downtown Fort Wayne, you could see all of the city lights, the ballpark, and all of the hustle and bustle below. They chose very elegant details, and the whole evening was absolutely lovely!

Zach and Lauren, thank you for choosing me to capture such an amazing day. I had so much fun celebrating with you guys, amongst all of your closest friends and family. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you guys as a married couple… FINALLY!!! Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Bloom!

I must admit, one of the highlights of this wedding for me was getting to have the cutest guy I know attend, get on the dance floor, and shoot this wedding with me… You’re the best, George!

James & Kaitlyn - Bonney Lake, WA

James and Kaitlyn have such a special place in my heart. I met Kaitlyn back when she was in high school and have had the privilege of watching her flourish from a sweet young girl to the beautiful, strong, intelligent young woman she is now. I remember when she first got to college, I got a text shortly after that she had met and was now dating this young man, named James. I captured their young love in the first year of their relationship, and I have loved watching them grow deeper and deeper in love ever since! Check out their sweet young love here that I captured back in 2014 here: http://www.rpimagery.com/blog-content/2016/5/18/young-love-james-kaitlyn?rq=kaitlyn

“It’s crazy that back then, we knew.” Kaitlyn said in her vows. I think we all knew! Watching these two from day one, I knew I would be capturing their wedding someday. And here we are. The whole day was surreal! I love these two so much and am so inspired by how rich and deep their love for each other is. It truly has been like that since day 1, though. Which is crazy, they were so young! But we all just knew.

I loved that they did their own thing and opted for a winter wedding. It was a true winter fairytale, from all of the touches of pine, to the flickering fireplaces, the smores’ station, and the fur coats. Kaitlyn’s winter wedding dreams all came to life, huge thanks to the insanely talented Jordan Moll, wedding planning and floral extraordinaire.

Most weddings I can name a few highlights of the day, but this one I simply cannot. When I think about each moment of the day, they were truly all my favorite! The whole bridal party got ready on site, in their different suites, and it was such a relaxed morning and afternoon. I loved my time interviewing James before he saw Kaitlyn. He was just a ball of emotions while I had him talking about his favorite things about Kaitlyn and why he loves her so much. He had me in tears right there with him. The first look was the sweetest thing ever, and also had us all in tears. Kaitlyn looked like a dream, as always, and James just could not contain himself. I had so much fun with the whole bridal party, as they were all a true testament to the type of people Kaitlyn and James both are - so giving, compassionate, thoughtful, and kind to everyone around them. I adore Kaitlyn’s family and often feel like they are my own, so it was an honor to capture this day for them. I loved meeting James’ family, too, and seeing how wonderful both families got along together. James and Kaitlyn are both fortunate to have such strong, committed, and loving marriages modeled for them, there’s no telling what the two of them will take on in this lifetime together! The whole evening was a true celebration of their love, and I admired how all of their friends and family were acknowledging the fact that we all just felt humbled to be witnessing the love between James and Kaitlyn. It was a special day.

I have to say, though, one of my favorite moments of the day was when I was behind the camera filming James’ thank you speech to all of his family, both Kaitlyn’s parents, his own parents, all of the siblings, grandparents, etc. AND THEN - out of no where, he acknowledges ME by saying how special it is to be having me capture the day as I have been a part of their love story all along. James - you had me in tears there. Thank you so much for that sweet shoutout.

Kaitlyn and James, to say I am inspired by your love is an understatement. People go their whole lives in search of what you two have. You two have a special place in my heart and I am just so blessed to know you, have you as friends, and to capture this incredible love you share as your journey continues to unfold. Thank you making me feel part of the family, I love you guys so much!

THE G.W.E.D. - Los Angeles, CA

Special thanks to Isaac and Mandy for helping film!

1 night, 1 couple, 3 events, 5 charities, 45 sponsors, 700+ people… Honestly, have you heard of anything like this? The answer is no, because this couple did something that nobody ever has. They hosted a $200k wedding that didn’t cost them $200,000 but RAISED over $200,000!!! Caleb and Tiffany truly have hearts of gold and they are fiercely dedicated to making this world a better place. So much that they donated their wedding! I mean, who does that? Especially in this century, where weddings are so hyped up, so detail oriented, and all about and catered to the couple. This was catastrophically quite the opposite.

Caleb and Tiffany believe that love is about the challenges, heartache, and battles you face in life and being able to fight through those together and come out stronger. AMEN TO THAT. Individually, they both have had their own battles in life to overcome:

“I have overcome childhood trauma from sexual assault, depression, emotional abuse, poverty, first generational living, suicide and pressure of raising my siblings, by turning my focus to helping others.” -Tiffany

“At the age of 1, was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called cystic fibrosis. I was told my life expectancy was only 19 years old (I am now 27). Despite the financial burden of doctors and hospital visits, the struggle to overcome sickness on a daily basis, and the unknown future, I choose to take this fight day-by-day. I take pride in being known to live in the moment and for my sincere appreciation of life. Rather than focusing on my fears, I love to follow my highest excitement at every given moment with no expectations of outcome.” - Caleb

It’s true, the amount of positivity and true appreciate for life that these two have is evident in their bright smiles, loving hugs, and compassion for the world.

Their wedding was out of this world! With well-known artists, dancers, musicians, speakers, live auctions, a few surprises, etc. - the whole evening was a hit. They had a short, tear-jerking ceremony in the middle of it all so that we could all remember that, yes… this is a wedding… and a marriage is about to begin! After the ceremony, they had speakers educate everyone on their 5 causes that they were donating their wedding to, all very close to their hearts. Then the party began and everyone danced and drank the night away.

Caleb and Tiffany, you guys are a light in this world and an inspiration to all of us. Thank you for being a true example of what love looks like when you fight together to overcome life’s greatest battles. Thank you for donating your wedding. Thank you for asking me to capture it! Thank you for encouraging us all to put goodness in the world, and reminding us that it’s not about what we can do alone, but what we can accomplish all together. This is not the end, it is only the beginning. I am so excited to see what you two continue to accomplish together in this life. YOU ARE “MARRIAGE GOALS” AND I LOVE YOU!

Scott & Karin - Pasadena, CA

My first recollection of Scott and Karin was at a brewery in Hood River, OR, when my friends and I were a few tables away admiring Karin’s elegant beauty, graceful demeanor, and subtle confidence. Moments later, a smiling, handsome, gentle giant comes up behind her, surprising her, and wraps his arms around her in an tender embrace. It was hard not to stare throughout their afternoon date. Scott and Karin are one of those couples that truly look at each other like nobody else is in the room. That’s probably why they were a little shocked when I swung by their table on my way out, and told them how adorable they are! My job is capturing love, so I told them I knew true love when I saw it and gave them my card, told them I hoped to capture their love one day, and went on my way.

Fast forward 1 year later, and I am feeling absolutely ecstatic to be in Pasadena, CA capturing their wedding day. After getting to know them at their engagement session (see their epic engagement session HERE), I knew their wedding would be nothing short of extraordinary. While Scott is the quietest man I’ve ever met, he also has this charming, subtle badass-ness that reminds me something of James Bond. Karin is not afraid to be the center of attention, loves to sing (she is an opera singer!), carries herself with such grace and elegance, and don’t get my started on how beautiful this girl is! While some may thing these two are the definition of “opposites attract,” it became obvious to me that Karin brings out a livelihood in Scott, and he brings out a tender side of Karin. I could go on about these two forever… but I’ll move on to their wedding day.

They wed at Karin’s Christian Orthodox church, with a few hints of Hawaiian tradition, since Scott grew up in Hawaii, they passed out lei’s and a Hawaiian band performed the prelude. Scott beamed as he saw Karin for the very first time on their wedding day, walk down the aisle to him, with her dad. The ceremony was lovely, but the real party got started when their 200 guests moved over to The Athenaeum. The amount of planning and details that went into planning this party really showed off. Karin certainly has good taste (and loves pink!), so the whole ambiance of the reception space was to die for! Scott and Karin paraded into the party to a traditional Armenian wedding song to start off the night, and it only got more wild from there. Her opera singing friend, SANG the whole menu for the evening, which was quite entertaining! Karin and two of her friends sang a special song, as well.. The toasts were incredible, the tears flowed, the laughter roared, and Karin kindly reminded her guests that she would like EVERY PERSON on the dance floor all evening. And boy, did that actually happen! Their live band was incredible and had the whole dance floor going all night long. A huge highlight was the choreographed First Dance that Scott and Karin did… it was so sexy! It was a perfect presentation of their flirty love. Of course later in the night, Scott had every girl wanting to be lifted up in the air by him, “dirty dancing” style.

As amazing as their wedding was, I know their journey together in this next chapter will be even more amazing. They are both such incredible individuals, I cannot even imagine what they are going to conquer in this world together as a duo! Scott and Karin, I am beyond honored that you chose me! I went from admiring your guys’ love on a random afternoon date to actually getting to be a part of your love story, and I am forever grateful. Thank you for inspiring us all with how madly in love you guys are!

Marcus & Kayt - Bend, OR

RPImagery-1460.jpg

Besides being absolutely stunning, Marcus and Kayt are one of the kindest, funniest, and most REAL couples in this world. Safe to say. They share a love that is so genuine and passionate, it has been fun for me to get to capture them in so many of their different elements. First, they took me to Maui to film their intimate (and epic) wedding in August with just a few of their close friends and family.

SEE THEIR MAUI WEDDING FILM HERE

Then, I got to be a part of and capture their celebration with everyone back home, in Bend, OR, a month later. AND THIS WAS A PARTY. The drinks, the music, the photobooth, THE CHARCUTERIE PLATE, the wedding film viewing, the toasts. It was a celebration unlike any other. They have a wild bunch of friends and family that got down on the dance floor. Not only was this a fun group of people, but I was blown away at the kindness of all of their friends and family. One of my favorite moments of the evening was when Marcus and Kayt got to see their Maui wedding film that I created for them, for the very first time, in a moment that they wanted to share with all of their loved ones at their celebration. Watching not only 200 people view my film, but witnessing my couple see their film for the first time, was a special moment I’ll remember forever. Their tears and smiles melted my heart, and reminded me of the significant value of my job. I always feel completely humbled that God put me on this path for a career, but especially in this moment. Thanks Marcus and Kayt, for wanting to share that moment with all of those close to you - including me. It meant so much! Thank you to all of you friends and family of Marcus and Kayt for all of your kind words, as well. I felt showered with way too much love from all of you, and never have I ever felt so appreciated and valued by so many people at one time. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you all.

Another favorite moment was obviously the beautiful sunset we whisked away from the party for. I think what makes the two of them such a beautiful couple, aside from their hotness (obviously!), is how real they are with each other - whether it’s goofy, serious, passionate, or just fun- they hold nothing back and I LOVE this about them. I ask them to slow dance, and he whisks her up in the air, twirls her around, grabs her face and kisses her, no shame. He grabs her butt, she grabs his. Their flirty, funny, and just adorable. They truly make everyone want to have a love like theirs!

Marcus and Kayt, I don’t have enough words to thank you for including me in so many of your special moments. Thank you for making ME feel completely loved, appreciated, and valued - when I was simply there to capture YOUR LOVE STORY. I couldn’t imagine anyone more perfect for each of them, than each other, honestly. My point is - we met at a wedding, we hit it off to the point where I got to capture YOUR wedding day(s), and where I thought I was (and honored to be) your wedding photographer and videographer, I come out of this experience with such a full heart feeling like a dear friend to you, more than anything. Thank you for trusting me at both of your weddings, thank you for making me feel like family, and thank you especially for truly inspiring us all with your goofy, passionate, firey, and REAL love.

I photographed their Bend recepetion (no video), but couldn’t help but just grab a couple second clips in this particular moment - a sunset slow dance. You just became husband and wife in Maui during a hurricane, so why not?! It was too sweet of a moment to capture only in photos!

Michael & Daveen - Washougal, WA

Michael and Daveen’s wedding was nothing short of magical! Daveen is a master detail planner, and had her complete wedding day envisioned as soon as she met Michael. Granted, many of those details changed over the years, but every detail of their day was absolutely radiant all the same. Daveen’s vision truly came to life in every ounce of the day - florals, table settings, ceremony arch, dessert table, jewelry, attire, etc.

However, no amount of beautiful detail can beat the authentic, magical love between these two. The respect, adoration, and love for each other is something special. Michael and Daveen, I love your love! Thank you for choosing me to capture such a monumental day in a new chapter of your love story. Thank you for inspiring us all with the passion, romance, and deep love that you two share. I am honored to call you guys’ friends and can’t wait to see what the future holds for you. xox

Justin & Courtney - Woodland, WA

RPImagery-0195.jpg

Justin and Courtney are a laid-back, loving, friendly, and outgoing couple. They are passionate about their pups, they are adored by their friends, they love to have a good time, and they ‘ain’t afraid of a little booty grab ;) Their wedding day was a perfect reflection of them, as their day started off with a relaxing morning for the girls getting ready at the barn, and the fellas showing up with Justin and Courtney’s pups mid afternoon. It was a beautiful, sunny day!

We started off with Courtney’s first look with her dad. It was truly something special, the look on his face was priceless when he saw his daughter on her wedding day, and the tears did not stop flowing. Shortly after that, Courtney and Justin got to see each other for the first time and then we wandered around the lovely property of the Peterson’s Red Barn with their whole bridal party. They certainly had a fun group of friends!

One of my favorite parts of their day was cocktail hour. Everyone enjoyed sipping cocktails from their adorable bar, Blue Stag Mobile bar, while playing lawn games and enjoying each other’s company. They had a great playlist going in the background, and it was just a lovely setting.

My absolute favorite part of the day though was golden hour, and not just because the light was pretty. Golden hour on Justin and Courtney’s wedding day of course included some epic portraits with just the two of them frolicking out in the open field as husband and wife! But, then we also came back to their whole party being back outside, having left the dance floor, to play drinking games at sunset. Justin and Courtney delightfully joined in. We ended golden hour with some girl squad pics. Love me a good group of girlfriends that will kick their shoes off and run around an open field, swaying their dresses, hugging each other, and enjoying the beauty of true friendship.

Court and Justin, your wedding was TOO fun! I enjoyed being a part of and soaking up every bit of it, just as much as I enjoyed capturing every moment of it. Thank you for including me on your wedding day, I feel blessed to know you guys and consider you friends as well!
Your unique love is so fun for me to capture and I hope to get to do so for many years to come. Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Kempf!

Alyssa & Aaron

I love how outdoorsy Alyssa and Aaron are. They had their favorite spot up in the mountains they wanted to go for their engagement shoot, and I'm sure glad we did. The rain went away for the afternoon, and left the most beautiful fog rolling through for us. I loved frolicking around the woods and this cute spot by the river with these two.

They are so fun, flirty, and completely in love. And Lord knows I love a couple that is down for adventure :) I am so excited for their wedding day this summer in good ole Eatonville, WA!

Scott & Kyla - Chelan, WA

RPImagery-1187.jpg

It's not often you get to be good friends with the competition. However, in this particular industry, it's not totally out of the ordinary. Thankfully I have a very dear photographer friend in Eastern, Washington who is always down to bounce ideas off of each other, compare techniques, ask questions, and in this case - share weddings.
She is with child and due very soon, so she asked if I could take over one of her weddings for her in beautiful Chelan, WA. I am SO thankful for this opportunity, because Scott and Kyla turned out to be some of the most awesome people ever and I now consider them friends.

Scott and Kyla are from Tacoma, WA but opted for a "semi-destination" Chelan wedding for their friends and family to get to on vacation for and get away. They got married at Karma Vineyards, overlooking the valley during the ceremony, and tucked inside a romantic "wine cave" for the reception. It was so lovely!

It was a special family affair, their 2 sons were a huge part of the day, both walking down the aisle with them in the bridal party and even giving toasts! I especially loved how their dinner was a classy rendition of family-style, with the long beautiful dining tables and fine, delicious food being passed around the table. The food, the wine, the toasting, the dessert table, the dancing - I would say the reception was one of my personal favorite parts of the day. It was truly a celebration of love.

Although a close second favorite part of the day was definitely the parting of the skies and the rainbow that appeared as Kyla walked down the aisle towards her new husband. It had been sprinkling throughout the day, but everyone was hopeful it would stop by ceremony time. God even blessed us with a rainbow during the 15 minutes of the day that Scott and Kyla said their actual vows! Right as the guests made their way down to the wine cave, it started raining again, and the rest of the evening was spent all together in the wine cave anyways!

Scott and Kyla, although my friend Hillary would have done such a beautiful job capturing your wedding photos too, I am so, SO thankful that I got to meet you guys and capture this day for you. It was an honor, and I completely adore you two and your boys! Congratulations!

Nick & Christina

Can everyone just get married at Tsillan Cellars and have epic dance parties like this?!

Christina and Nick's STUNNING Chelan, WA wedding was one of my favorites to date. The details were flawless, dainty but not over-done, the venue was magical, the planning was perfect, and this couple is the definition of couple goals. The way they love is so genuine, and intentional. And can we talk about how gorgeous they are? Please have so many beautiful children you two....

I love how they made a weekend getaway out of their wedding, and got to enjoy time on their lake front property rentals with their family and closest friends all weekend long. It made for a relaxed, laid-back, and incredibly enjoyable setting. What a wonderful way to get married!

Nick and Christina, I cannot thank you enough for choosing me to capture this day for you. It was truly the best day ever, thank you for making me feel so included and truly like a friend, not just the videographer ;) I loved every minute of your day and was completely honored to get to document it all for you. Congratulations, I just love you two!

And because I can never contain myself from snapping a few photos, even while filming a wedding day, here are just a couple stills from their day:

Baylee and Tyler

I met Baylee in 2009 when our moms set us up for a senior session, me being a new photographer and Baylee being a senior in high school. Our moms both worked together at the time... so, thanks moms! Fast forward a couple years later and Baylee is starting a photography business of her own and we get to collaborate on a few things and learn from each other, which it's always good to have friends in the industry. Collaboration, not competition! Fast forward another couple years later, and I am transitioning into wedding videography as Baylee is really starting to kill the wedding photography game. We've gotten to capture a few weddings together now, and it is so fun! Her as the photographer, me as the videographer. Brides.... we work really well together, FYI ;)

When she first told me that she met this Canadian guy on Tinder, he came down to meet her, and they really hit it off, I thought "that's sweet, but it'll never work." Living in two different countries right off the bat and trying to start a long distance relationship? No way. When they got engaged, I was happy for them, but still hesitant. It's not until I finally got to meet Tyler that it all finally made sense. They are truly the perfect combination of similarities and contrasts. They are so alike in that they are genuine, driven, intentional, energetic, hard working, and love to be around their friends. Yet, they are different in smaller ways that balance each other out perfectly. Baylee is whimsical minded while Tyler is a little more logical, haha. I actually love this about them! I feel like Tyler brings Baylee back to Earth sometimes but Baylee gets Tyler thinking more spontaneously. Besides all of this, how hot of a couple are they?! I mean, come on. They make THEE most beautiful couple.

Their wedding day was absolutely perfect. Baylee got ready at her mom's house with some of her closest friends, and then we drove out to the gorge where her and Tyler shared their first look. They wanted their wedding day to be intimate and magical. Well, they certainly got that. On a March afternoon in Oregon, they were absolutely blessed with a beautiful, sunny day. That, in itself, is magic. The said their vows on the most stunning cliffside with their immediate family and closest friends. It was very intimate.
Baylee and Tyler, your wedding day was perfect. Laid back, intimate, fun, romantic, spontaneous, filled with so much laughter and love... I already know your wedding day is just a hint of what the rest of your guys' lives together will be like. I'm excited to see what the future holds for you two.

Thank you for having me capture your day, it was truly an honor. I love you guys!

Also, it's always a treat to get to work with the fabulous Jessica Heron, who photographed the day. Check out her photos from their wedding day, below:
